How Good a County is Devon for Adult Dating?

Devon is England’s fourth largest county by geographical area, covering nearly 2300 square miles. It has a population of 1.1 million, making an average of nearly 500 people to every square mile. Whilst this is sufficient for adult fun activities to be reasonably widespread, Devon is not one of the best of counties to live in for easy access to adult dating and swinger party fun. Furthermore, it has a substantial and growing over 50’s population, being one of England’s most popular retirement locations.
To the west, Devon borders Cornwall which is a more sparsely populated county with fewer opportunities for adult daters and swingers. To the east is Dorset and Somerset. Dorset has an even higher over 50’s population and neither county can be said to be much more favourable to adult dating activities than Devon itself.
The best areas of Devon to live in are the county town of Exeter and the city of Plymouth. Both areas have sizeable numbers of active adult fun seekers who like to meet up and attend swinger parties.
Getting an idea of how much adult fun activity goes on in the county can be reckoned by taking a look at how many profiles are displayed in Devon when browsing leading adult dating sites.
One of the main clubs and sites of this type, is Club Aphrodite and I was able to examine it’s membership records right back to 1996 when I first started it.
People interested in adult dating and swinging quite often decide to sign up with several online swinger sites at the same time. This was taken into account when trying to estimate the total number of people on the adult dating scene for Devon. From that starting point, I have guesstimated that the totals of the numbers of individuals and couples active in adult dating in the county is somewhere in the region of 650 being made up of 250 couples, 220 single males and 180 single females.
What these figures appear to show is that the county of Devon is not one of the better counties to live in when it comes to indulging in some adult dating fun.
There is not an established adult party club venue in Devon at present although one could start up at any time. However, many seasoned swingers consider that the truly memorable parties are more often than not those hosted in private houses, so an absense of an extablished venue is not necessarily a bad thing.
The opening move to receiving invites to adult parties held in private residential property and organised by other adult fun seekers in Devon, is to register with a popular swinger club and adult dating site, such as Club Aphrodite. Next, take plenty of time and effort to draft a really good profile and get yourself well known on the site. It is essential that you commit yourself to spending a great deal of time and energy logged into the site getting involved in chat rooms and forums. Please study the advice articles that are on hand for our members. The articles will teach you the techniques and secrets of establishing an online adult dating presence effectively.
How to Stay in Good Health When Times are Tough

With the economy in a tailspin, most of us are feeling the effects of the financial crisis. Amidst the daily struggle to hang onto jobs, pay our bills, and save for retirement, physical wellness can take a back seat to more immediate concerns.
But the stress of trying to cope in a tough economy makes it more important than ever to care for your most valuable asset – your health. Good health can make a tremendous difference in your ability to face the pressures of uncertain times.
Nutrition
A demanding schedule can make it tempting to eat on the run; with grocery prices soaring, you may skimp on more wholesome foods in favor of cheaper alternatives. But good nutrition is the cornerstone of good health, and it is possible to eat well without draining your wallet.
- Plan Ahead
Plan a weekly menu before you shop and purchase only the items you need – you will save a lot of money.
Keep the FDA food pyramid in mind, and skip the prepackaged meals. Use fresh produce and whole grains
whenever possible – farm stands are excellent sources of fresh and inexpensive seasonal items.
- Avoid Fast Food
Although it is cheap and convenient, fast food is calorie-laden and lacking in nutritional value. Carry healthy
snacks and ignore the lure of the drive-through.
- Dine In
Restaurants are expensive, and little attention is given to the nutritional quality of the food coming out of the
kitchen. Make cooking a family event, or invite your friends – everyone will benefit from good food and the
camaraderie of preparing a meal together.
Exercise
You’ve been working overtime to make ends meet. With the bills piling up, the gym membership is an expense you can’t justify. Sticking to an exercise routine seems impractical – you’ll get back into it when things get better.
Feeling this way is understandable, but physical activity is a vital to maintaining good health. Exercising is a great way to de-stress, keep your metabolism running, and sustain a healthy body weight.
If you can’t afford the snazzy gym, you can still work out without the expensive equipment and personal trainer. Why not rediscover the pleasures of the great (and free) outdoors? Take a walk with friends, your partner, or the dog. A bike ride is an excellent workout, even if you ride a $200 model instead of a sexy, top-of-the-line racing cycle.
Take a hike and enjoy the scenery, or go for a vigorous swim. If you live in a winter climate, even sledding with the kids can be great exercise – the trudge back up the hill is a workout in itself. However you choose to stay fit, you will feel refreshed and ready to deal with any challenge.
Stress Management
Medical experts agree that high stress levels have a tremendous impact on our health. Stress weakens the immune system and depletes the hormones that promote healthy body function and mental well-being; it is also a huge factor in illnesses such as heart disease.
Make time for yourself. Yoga, meditating, or simply listening to soothing music can help you to relax, reduce your stress level, and allow your body’s self-healing abilities to take over.
Risky Behaviors
Behaviors such as smoking, heavy drinking, and drug use are never good for you. Aside from the adverse health effects, these substances can dim your outlook, exacerbate stressful situations, and impair your ability to make good decisions.
Cutting back on drinking and smoking can only be beneficial, and you will find yourself feeling more energized and positive about your life.
Preventative Health Care
It is impossible to overemphasize the importance of preventative care. Scheduling a checkup or mammogram may be the furthest thing from your mind right now, but remember that early detection is critical in treating any disease.
- Lab tests (such as pap smears) can spot diseases which are easily treated in early stages, but become
much more complicated and dangerous if allowed to progress.
- Mammograms are recommended for women ages 40 and up. Don’t duck out of your checkup with the
excuse that you don’t have time – you could be saving your life.
- Cholesterol checks are vital for older adults. Maintaining a healthy cholesterol level can minimize your risk of
stroke or heart disease.
Don’t overlook your annual checkup. Even in difficult times, you will greatly improve the quality of your life if you practice good habits and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Papaya – Good For Digestion And As An Antioxidant
July 15, 2010 by admin
Although seventy years ago the average life expectancy was age 62, today people are not only living well into their 80s and 90s, but they are also living better too. Doing activities such as mountain biking, kayaking, jogging, hiking, gardening, and golfing, it seems as if everyone is on the go, no matter what their age. Since nobody wants to spend retirement in a doctor’s office, it is important to start planning for a longer, more vibrant life. Huge advances are made each day in the understanding of how men and women age that help to improve our chances of living long, healthy lives. Some of the most impressive findings have shown that nutritional supplements can help, mainly specially formulated papaya preparation, which is able to fight two of the primary reasons we get old, oxidative stress and immune system decline.
Papaya, a tangy tasting fruit, is now appearing more and more in the produce departments of most grocery stores. A papaya has a bright orange flesh that is very slippery and a core filled with little black seeds. Although eating a papaya can give you a day’s worth of vitamins A, C, and potassium, taking Fermented Papaya Preparation (FPP) could give you an additional 30 years of healthy life.
FPP is a specialized nutritional supplement that has been used in Japan for many years and is very popular in France and parts of Europe. It begins with fresh, ripe papayas that are slowly fermented over several months and then dried and ground into a fine powder. This powder can be sprinkled into the mouth, dissolved, and swallowed. When Japanese scientists noticed that those people who had more papaya in their diet had certain health benefits, researchers studying aging decided to look at the chemistry of the papaya. Several chemicals in the plant showed promise, causing researchers to combine papaya with specific yeasts and traditional Japanese fermentation techniques, giving a rise to FPP. FPP was then used in many scientific studies to determine its health impact and the research concluded that FPP is a superior antioxidant, a powerful immune-booster, and a secret to a long healthy life.
Although getting older is an indisputable fact of life, we don’t have to accept the consequences of aging, which include heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, and cancer. We now have the ability to have a say in how we age by slowing down the harmful effects of aging through the use of FPP which helps reduce oxidative stress and immune system decline. By fighting oxidative stress, people are able to retain their youthful appearance for a longer period of time, as it is the number one factor in facial aging. One theory of aging centers on the fact that harmful molecules called free radicals wreak havoc in our cells. Many of our body’s normal metabolic processes produce free radicals, such as the production of ATP from glucose, as well as enzymatic actions that take place throughout each and every day. Outside sources such as environmental pollutants, chemicals, additives, and preservatives, can cause an excess production of free-radicals which leads to a great deal of damage. This excess production of free radicals is what causes oxidative stress, which is linked to almost every disease associated with aging.
Our immune systems are comprised of specialized tissues, organs, and cells, including many different kinds of white blood cells which work in specific ways to keep us healthy and disease-free. Not only do they guard us from invaders, but they also fight and wipe out microbes. As we age, our white blood cells become less efficient in protecting us from viruses and bacteria. They mistake harmful invaders for nutrients and can sometimes be too tired to fight foreign invaders. This age-associated immune decline also allows a single cancer cell to grow into a tumor before the white blood cells can even realize their mistake. This explains why older members of society have more urinary tract infections, pneumonia, cases of bacterial meningitis, tuberculosis, herpes zoster, and cancer. Further, not only are their more cases, but the mortality rates for these diseases are usually 2-3 times higher with older adults than younger people with the same disease. FPP can help because it helps macrophages to work faster and ingest more disease-causing microbes, along with increasing the production of interleukin, a chemical protein that is secreted by macrophages which plays an important role in wound healing. FPP also boosts the activity of NK (natural killer) cells, which can result in increased killing of cancer cells and those cells infected by viruses. FPP contains antioxidants which neutralize free radical damage by donating an extra electron to the free radical and keeping itself more stable and less reactive. By doing this, the antioxidant stops the domino effect and ongoing free-radical damage. FPP also affects the genetic pathways that eliminate free radicals from the system.
FPP has been the subject of over 300 clinical studies which together have proven that it inhibits dangerous hydroxyl free radical, and have led to it being considered for its immuno-protective effects. Dr. Luc Montagnier, co-discoverer of HIV 1 & 2 virus recommends using FPP as part of a tri-therapy to reduce proliferation of the virus and stimulate the immune system. Because FPP has both antioxidant and immuno-stimulative properties, it appears to be an obvious choice for fighting against AIDS. The higher free radical production found in stage II of HIV infection can be contributed to oxidative stress.
Most theories of aging state that there is a limit to how long the human body can remain workable. Although, the oldest age achieved so far was 128 by a woman who lived in the Dominican Republic. As of now, Japanese women have the longest life span, with an average life expectancy of 85.93, while Japanese men average about 78.87 years.
Many people in Japan and Europe have used FPP for many years as an anti-aging product without any side effects. For basic anti-aging support, 3 grams per day is recommended. For additional support, up to 9 grams per day can be taken. To boost your immune system when you need it, start out with 6-9 grams a day for the first 2-3 days and then move back down to 3 grams a day. For optimum immune support, it is advised to take morning and evening doses, preferably on an empty stomach. Papaya can be found at your local or internet health food store.

Post Military Careers In Trucking- Is It Is A Good Occupation After You Retire From The Forces
June 15, 2010 by admin
We all know the kind of lives that men in the military live. Most of the times, they live a very tough and difficult life. They are cut off from civilization and in the times of war, have to literally hang on to their sanity. No doubt, it is an honorable and respectable job, but it also puts them under immense pressure. This is one of the main reasons, why they would want to make ‘trucking’ an immediate job option after retirement. It cuts out their stress completely from their lives.
Trucking is one of the jobs or occupations that has the least, or practically no amount of stress at all. Even most experts have proved, that if you are stressed out, you need to go for a drive. The whole atmosphere of the scene and breeze works well for you. Driving is a great way of de-stressing. The scenery and the folks you keep encountering on the way, all add color to your life and make it more interesting.
And when you talk about trucks, they are not too difficult at all to drive. In fact, they are simple and easy to drive. Trucks have power steering, fully equipped with all kinds of satellite communication, phones, and DVD system, which make the journey all the more comfortable and exciting. They have different kind of set up from what they normally used to be. What they need is a stretch of open road.
Even though, it is a fact that military men make good drivers is because of their special training and education that they had received, while in the services of the military. The kind of heavy vehicles that they drove is a kind of expertise that they have developed over a period of time. This is the main criterion, why most trucking companies are more than willing to hire ex-servicemen. They really don’t need to spend much time and money on training them, to do trucking well. They are most glad to recruit them, who are thorough professionals.
After retirement, it is difficult to find an occupation that pays well. But, in the trucking business you get life insurance, free medical check ups, overtime, and many other added benefits. Some military guys, who have been into repairing and servicing of trucks, find this quite a lucrative business to pursue after retirement. Since they have been working in the maintenance department for so many years, it becomes very easy for them to continue to do the same.
Even most trucking companies would happily hire a hardcore mechanic anytime. Someone who they know, is well versed with his stuff, would be selected immediately. So actually, whether you are driving or repairing a truck, it is still an enjoyable occupation to get into post retirement. But honestly, there is nothing like trucking business. You are free to make money according to how many trips you want to make or choose to be at home with your family. There is no pressure and you can actually get the time to ’smell the rain’, something you longed for in the earlier part of your life. Hence trucking is a good occupation after you retire from the forces.
Is Early Retirement A Good Choice?
June 13, 2010 by admin
Most people, even if they love their jobs, perk up at the thought of early retirement. They can quickly come up with a list of many reasons why they would be crazy not to take an early retirement if it was offered to them. There are many great things about taking an early retirement, that is for sure, but there are some things you should consider carefully before you decide to end your working career.
The benefits of early retirement seem obvious. Not having to work full-time means having more time to do things you enjoy more than work. The thought of spending everyday doing things you love sounds too good to be true, right? Who would not love hour after hour to garden, read, get in touch with friends or join clubs in your community? Taking an early retirement means having more time to travel and spend with family and close friends.
You must take time to consider with caution all of the ways your life will change because of taking early retirement. Think beyond all of the pleasures and freedoms you will enjoy and consider your financial situation for a moment. Do you have funds in place that will be able to support you if you take early retirement? How will you pay for your home, cars, insurances, and desires to travel? It is much easier to dream about the kind of life early retirement would allow than it is to pay for that kind of life. If you have a family, you must also consider the responsibilities you have to provide for and support them. Are all of your children through college? Are there significant events like weddings that are yet to be paid for? All of these questions must be answered honestly before you decide that early retirement is right for you.
Another thing to carefully question before you decide on early retirement is how your life will really look without a full-time job in the picture. Sure, having no job sounds great now, but are you really prepared to break away from all that your job has required of you? Many people that have chosen an early retirement end up regretting the decision when they start to actually miss work and interaction with co-workers. Chances are strong that your job has played a bigger role in your life and happiness than you realize, so be careful to weigh carefully the pros and cons of leaving your job for an early retirement.
The main thing in deciding about early retirement is not to rush the decision. Take your time, consider all of your options and know yourself well before making a huge life change. If it is right for you, early retirement can be full of joy and blessing. If, however, you jump into early retirement prematurely, you may be sorry for the rest of your
life.
5 Good Reasons To Retire To Florida
April 11, 2010 by admin

Florida is a state that is particularly known for its retirement communities and its fair share of senior citizens. With Florida’s throngs of seasonal tourists, college co-eds drinking and carousing during spring break, and miles of high-rises and traffic jams on congested highways, some may wonder why it is still considered a nice place to retire. Here are five good reasons why Florida is still viewed as the perfect state to spend one’s “golden years”.
1) In the United States mainland, southern Florida is one of the warmest places during the winter. With Florida’s annual low temperature of 59 Fahrenheit, it is the perfect location for those seeking to escape the brutal winters common in the northern most U.S. states.
2) The state of Florida caters to its population of senior citizens. Retirement destinations such as Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Florida Keys, Ocala, Tampa Bay, and those less known like Bradenton boasts numerous well-maintained retirement communities. Many of these communities offer on-site golf courses, restaurants, fitness centers, and planned activities for its members.
3) There are still retirement communities close to white sand beaches that are not well known and overpopulated with tourists. Bradenton is one such beach town. Being close to the Gulf of Mexico, activities like sailing and gulf fishing are just a stone’s throw away. If senior citizens do not desire community living, single-family homes can be purchased on the canals and bays.
4) Not all retirement communities in Florida boast a “sun and sand” atmosphere. In fact, Dade City, located in central Florida northeast of Tampa, has oak trees, hills and quaint antique shops! This award winning small town is known for its friendly atmosphere, citrus groves, and ranches. Seniors wanting to retire to a quiet community with a small town feel, Dade City would be the perfect destination.
5) Yes, retirement is considered a profitable industry, enough so that Florida provides perks, such as property tax exemptions, to those planning to retire in Florida. The only requirements for legal residency are to establish a permanent home and make a sworn statement with the Circuit Court in the county of desired residency.
Independent, Retirement, And Senior Living Communities A Good Value In Tough Economy
April 9, 2010 by admin

When I suggested that my wife’s grandfather George move into a retirement community outside of Detroit, I had a list of reasons why. I knew he would enjoy the proximity to family, having a peer group close at hand, the chance to rekindle some dormant interests and the peace of mind on-site health care brings. What was missing from my list was the opportunity for him to save money on living expenses.
That is exactly what he is doing, to an estimated $400 per month.
Decision to Move
His story is similar to many people in our country contemplating a move to a retirement or independent living community. The decision to relocate keeps getting put-off due to reasons such as perceived costs or out-dated stereotypes of what a retirement community is like.
Sadly, George’s wife died suddenly and he was forced to quickly make some life decisions. Should he stay in the home he had lived in for more than 20 years? Move and live with one of his adult children? Or move to a retirement community? After weighing all his options, George made the decision that he wanted his own “space” and soon made arrangements to move to a retirement community.
Eight months after his move, he has taken up golf. He is involved in not one, but two Bridge groups. And although he lost so much in the previous year, he is hopeful about the future. He is also amazed that his living expenses have actually gone down —- that $400 savings per month will add up to almost $5,000 per year.
Hidden Value Revealed
Whether someone has a mortgage or the house is paid off, there is likely a lot of pent-up potential dollars to invest if equity could be taken from the sale of the home. There can also be a disadvantage to waiting.
As an example, let’s assume a house can be sold for $250,000 in today’s market, but the owner believes waiting five years would yield a $300,000 sale. This thinking actually loses nearly $20,000 of value to the person that waits, assuming a typical 5% return on investments. Clearly stated, a person who sells the house today for $250,000 and invests the proceeds for a 5% return would earn more than the person who waits five years to sell their home. Waiting also means:
1) five years of an uncertain real estate market where prices could continue to slip downward instead of improve
2) five years of dealing with costly house maintenance and repairs
3) five years of paying higher taxes due to property evaluations
4) five years of all the responsibilities of home ownership and the time commitments that come with it
Living in a retirement community can eliminate those concerns for the average senior while providing them a much more predictable out-of-pocket cost. Here, the concept is shared expense distribution versus a single household incurring all costs. Does anyone know how much gasoline or heating oil is going to be in the next few months, next year? In recent years, heating costs have rocketed 30% or more.
Even assuming a 6% annual monthly service fee increase from the retirement community, a senior or family member can plan accordingly, and there are no hidden surprises.
Unexpected Savings
Other ways someone moving to a retirement community can save:
• Car costs drive off. Most retirement communities offer transportation, so residents can forgo their car, car maintenance, car insurance, and paying for gas.
• Health costs decrease. Retirement communities are built with a more universal design in mind. This translates into less potential for falls, trips, and more. Fewer accidents likely means decreased insurance premiums and fewer hospital bills.
• Food bills get cut. Most retirement communities offer very affordable meal options eliminating the expense of buying groceries while providing seniors with nutritional meals they may not be getting on their own.
• Entertainment, with bulk pricing. A single person goes to the theater, little chance of getting a significant discount. Fifty people go, and wow!
The economy is understandably on everyone’s mind and senior living providers should be shouting from the roof-tops the financial benefits of such a life decision. In addition to the positive health and well-being retirement communities offer residents, they give financial peace of mind in a time of uncertainty. This is more than just a benefit for my wife’s grandfather; choosing senior housing can benefit thousands of senior home-owners.
Good Retirement: 7 Steps To Realizing Fulfillment
April 8, 2010 by admin
Nowadays, individuals are healthier and having lengthier, fuller lives that are a great deal different from previous generations. Increasing numbers of individuals are establishing a fulfilling retirement that works for them.
With fears of social security collapsing, and increases in day to day expenses, it seems right that a growing number of individuals are re-characterizing what a good retirement means. And it has become accepted that to age properly, you need to remain energetic in old age – connected and involved.
You could consider moving to a new line of work, working for yourself, picking up new skills, working for the community, and realizing aspirations you’ve had to put in cold storage. These are the things that define a good retirement these days. How will you select what kind of retirement is right for you
We’ve listed 7 steps to establishing a good retirement in which you can realize fulfillment:
1. Set aside some time for thought. The majority of people start contemplating retirement when they cross 50, some people start prior to that. A few commence mulling about retirement the instant they leave a job they’ve held for the last 30 years.
2. Look to your past. Consider all your previous jobs. Which ones did you love? What parts of all your posts were the best? Is there a shared theme? Deliberate on the hopes and aspirations you held when you were younger that could have been disregarded. Is there a way to satisfy them currently?
3. Figure out your finances. Previously you could have concentrated exclusively on investment, now the hour has come to create a good retirement. Reflect on the income your funds will continue to produce. Do you hold a pension you can bank on? Do you get any retirement payments, for instance a pension? Will you receive Social Security? Do you possess retirement health care coverage?
4. Depending on your financial concerns, decide how much you will need to receive during retirement, a part-time or full-time job or perhaps you may not have to be employed in any way. Human life spans have grown, and with this you have the necessity for more money. It’s best to err on the side of caution and have extra for unanticipated situations. Having a job, even part-time, can significantly protect your money and boost your quality of life.
5. Reflect on the way you use your money in your free time. What do you like to do? Is it to possible to merge those pursuits with work? If you love food, perchance it’s time to start a café? If you spend all day immersed in books, would work in a library be the right thing?
6. After you’ve decided the level of work and leisure you’ll need to establish a good retirement, then you can look for a job. Productive senior employees by 2010 will be very valued.
7. Go back to college. Several colleges oblige retirement age students, by offering night classes, or offering credits for work experience. These might be the years for a new career.
A good retirement that is fulfilling has changed from an indolent weekend to one of the most thrilling periods in a person’s life. With the correct planned retirement, the potential is enormous. All the best creating a good retirement!

Good News for Those Looking to Retire in South Carolina!
April 6, 2010 by admin
Many people like to retire somewhere warm, and with plenty of fun things to do. The sub-tropic climate of South Carolina, and the historic charm of Charleston in particular, make this area an appealing choice.
An exciting new Del Webb retirement community is currently under construction in Summerville, just 45 minutes from downtown Charleston. While the models are still under construction, they are available for viewing by interested buyers. The official model park grand opening is September 15th, but those curious enough to view early may be rewarded with some buyers incentives.
One of the major advantages of choosing a planned retirement community is safety and easy living. In a Del Webb retirement community you not only know your neighbors, you have a lot in common with them. The yards are low maintenance, and the homes are high quality. Pulte Homes, the builder for Del Webb Charleston in Summerville, has a long history of building high end homes, and this means peace of mind for buyers. There’s also a wide variety of home styles to choose from.
At Del Webb Charleston, your social life and personal development will be a priority. In addition to golf, there’s the fitness center, featuring aerobics classes, fitness training and staff to help you out with anything. Or you can enjoy the variety of pools at your leisure, play tennis, bocce, horseshoes, lawn bowling or any one of dozens of sporting activities. There’s hot-tubs, hiking trails, dance studios and just about anything you could want to do.
There’s also a performing arts center, continuing education classrooms, library, craft center and computer lab. There are plans to have a full-time lifestyle director on staff here, someone to plan classes and workshops in things like yoga and french, and to help you decide what to do with yourself if you can’t decide between all the amazing options!
If the working world still calls occasionally, or a volunteer interest needs space to meet, residents will be able to take advantage of the conference rooms.
If you enjoy the outdoors, there is a community garden planned here, plus a pond and protected wetland areas for your enjoyment. And yes, your grandchildren are welcome to visit.
Living at Del Webb Charleston will give residents access to the amenities in Summerville, as well as the larger city of Charleston. This new retirement community is promising to be truly great, offering so much within itself and central to so much more. I expect it to be very popular. If you’d like more information, or to set up a viewing, don’t hesitate to contact me about it.
